May 22, 2008...
The Race of Champions
event scheduled for Saturday May 31, 2008 is
being rescheduled to Saturday September 13,
2008. |
|
The event is
scheduled to feature four NASCAR Nextel Cup
drivers in two exhibition races commentated by
Rusty Wallace. Moving the event to September allows us
the time to complete the line up and put on a
quality event for all our loyal fans" stated Joe Dirienzo, track promoter. |
|
Fans that have
already purchased a ticket have two options.
The first option is they may transfer their
ticket to the new date. The second option is a
full refund. Fans that purchased tickets
online, must call 1-888-695-0888 to either
transfer their ticket or to get a refund. Fans
that purchased through the speedway box office
must call 814-629-6677. |
|
The format will
remain the same for the event. The $30 advance
ticket cost will remain in effect for fans who
wish to purchase a premier seat in Jennerstown's
upper sections. New for the 2008 event, a $20
general admission seat will be available to race
fans as well. With either ticket, the format
will remain the same for the autograph session.
Autograph coupons that are specific to each of
the five drivers will be randomly inserted into
the speedway's collectable souvenir program
book. Due to the limited amount of autographs
that the driver's can sign, not every program
will contain an autograph ticket. However, if a
souvenir program doesn't contain an autograph
ticket that fan will find a coupon for a FREE
item off of the speedway's concession menu. All
ticket holders will have the opportunity to
purchase only one collectable souvenir program
per validated ticket stub. At a time determined
by speedway officials the program sales will be
opened up for anyone to purchase unlimited
additional programs to ensure that all the
autograph tickets have been distributed. |
|
Jennerstown has added
a very limited number of exclusive VIP autograph
tickets for each driver. With the purchase of
this ticket, fans will receive the premier
grandstand ticket along with a guaranteed
autograph ticket for the driver of their choice
during a VIP autograph session to precede the
main autograph session. The cost of this VIP
ticket will be $75 in advance.
Fans who wish a
guaranteed autograph ticket for each driver may
purchase the deluxe VIP ticket for $225. This
deluxe VIP ticket will entitle a fan an
autograph from all the celebrity drivers in
attendance. Both the VIP and deluxe VIP tickets
must be purchased by calling the speedway office
at 814-629-6677 or 814-442-5519. |
|
Track management is
currently working on details of an Ultimate fan
ticket. This ticket will consist of a premier
ticket to the grandstands. Along with a
grandstand ticket each Ultimate ticket holder
will accommodate all the celebrity drivers,
attending the event at Jennerstown, during their
transport to the speedway in the limo or motor

transport to the speedway getting autographs,
